Cystine Carreon

EDUCATION

Cystine studied violin at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, with singing as a minor. She took dance lessons with Martin Michel, took singing lessons with Babz Verhoeven and Arvin Quirante (CVT) and took acting workshops with Willem Nijholt, Josha Hamman and Victor Löw, among others.

THEATER

She started in Miss Saigon , in which she played all female roles. She subsequently appeared in Fame , played Diana Morales in A Chorus Line , Dorothy in Rocky over the Rainbow , Lola in Copacabana , Noura in Dolfje Weerwolfje , Rizzo in Grease , Mercedes in Shhh ... it happens! , Carmen Diaz in the Dutch Fame , Petcharin in Lichtjes In Je Ogen , played in De Darmdialogen for the MLD Foundation and in the stage adaptation of De Eetclub by Saskia Noort. In the M-lab she played in De Engel van Amsterdam and she combined singing, acting and playing the violin in her one-woman performance Fataal . She played in De Vagina Monologen, Pluk van de Petteflet, Slagshadow van het Binnenhof and Powervrouwen and VAMOS! and Women on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown.

Cystine is currently playing one of the 4 leading roles in the Off-Broadway hit Murder Ballad.

TELEVISION

Cystine played Polly in RTL4's BlauwBlauw . She was subsequently seen as Nanda Verhoeven in GTST . And played the role of the devilish Tippiwan for 5 years in Talpa's success series Gooische Vrouwen . Cystine was one of the candidates for the survival program 71 degrees north and made it to the semi-finals and traveled to the Middle East for the EO program De Pelgrimscode . Cystine regularly plays roles such as in Made for Each Other and Oh my Heaven. At Nickelodeon's she peels the role of Dottie in the series Hunter Street.

OTHER

Her voice can often be heard in cartoons and computer games. She is, among others, the Dutch voice of Elana Fisher in Uncharted 1, 2, 3 and 4 , and Victoria Justice in Victorious. She is a regular guest on TV programs, gives concerts and sang as a soloist with the program “Het Metropole Orkest Ontmoet ...” . Cystine gives workshops and coaches young artists. She is an ambassador for the children's aid organization Save the Children and is the proud mother of Kyana Raine and Cian Hale.

PRICES

For the role of Rizzo , Cystine received the Johnny Kraaijkamp Musical Award for Best Supporting Role in a Great Musical 2007.
